portfolio recovery are the dca.
the defaults on my files have been left by the original lender so they are the ones who can remove it.
obviously my number one priority is to ensure that the default dates are correct on my credit file as ive said, it defaulted mid 2011 and is showing correctly on one credit agency but on another its showing as they both defaulted nov 2012!0 -
how much is it for?0

ok send a separate prove it letter to DCA, for each one asking for "deeds of assignment" (to see if they are really the legal owners), "true credit agreement" and who is assigned and responsible for collection of the alledge debt. don't sent £1 to them.
And as happy bunny said you can complain to FOB and Office of Fair trading about the payday company if you feel they haven't played by the "OFT debt collection Guidence".

The other thing I've noted they have done is on one credit reference agency they have put a particular default date and amount with it showing as closed and satisfied .... But still defaulted obviously
And yet on another credit ref agencies report the default is showing as still not satisfied, the default is for twice the amount showing on the other report AND a totally different default date of almost 18 months later than the one on the other cfa
If you borrowed money, then did not pay it back precisely as and when agreed, then I'm afraid that that is a default, and it's right that it is entered into your credit file, as a true record of what happened.
You ought to request that the details be corrected if they are wrong, but I don't think that you have any grounds for being upset that they reported the default.
What is the nature of your dispute? Did you pay back what you believed you owed, at the very least (including the interest that you'd agreed to)?0 -
Well that's the thing I've no idea if or what I owe them
I sent them a cca request by recorded delivery 3 months ago and all they responsed with were the default notices by email.0 -
Give the FOS a a call, will advise if they think you have a valid complaint.:beer:0

That may be so, but you'll have known what the original interest rate charge was. Did you at least pay that back eventually?0
