Patterned, raised bathroom tiles - what can I do with them?

I am about to give my bathroom a £100 facelift without replacing the suite, shower or wall tiles.
The tiles were orginally white and some have a pale but raised floral pattern on them. I will be cleaning the tiles, regrouting them and painting them with white tiles paint if necessary.
I'm looking for advice about how to transform the patterned tiles into something a little less dated looking. My only idea so far is to just paint them white!?!
