Hi all
I've split up with my ex and I have my daughter twice a week over night and the day time I have had a call from csa today 6 months after the split stating the ex has made a claim for it based on my earning I would have to pay 36pw and also provide for my daughter when I have her do u think I should say that the ex should provide nappies and wipes and clothes if I am paying csa please bare in mind I do believe the money would not go on her our previous agreement was I provide when I have her and the ex provides when she has her

I'd suck it up and pay the contribution as requested by CSA and like they said provide for her when you have her. so yes, pay for your own nappies and wipes when you have her, and provide some clothes.
36pw isn't that much if you add up all the cost your ex has, so perhaps you are being a bit unfair thinking the money won't go towards your daughter? Around here, 36 pounds doesn't even pay for 1 full day in nursery. It is a lot cheaper than if you paid half a full time nursery space for someone else to look after your child while you are at work...
The CSA payment is the legal minimum you need to pay and many parents pay more. For example, when children get older and want to attend sports clubs, school trips, or need a laptop. presumably as a parent you want to provide for your child the best you can, not just the minimum regardless of whether you have split up or not. Children are expensive
