    Hi there and welcome:T

If you go on to the bbcgood food website or the uk tv food...you get some great recipes on there..they arent all budget friendly but you can soon make some changes...also on there they have a facility where you can give them 3 ingredients...so say you have tomatoes, chicken and peas to use up you list them and they will try and find you recipes to use them up...it is great.. im sure if you tap in minestrone it will find you a recipe..in fact i will go and look now :D

    Ok im back https://www.bbc.co.uk
    https://www.uktv.co.uk
the uktv one has lots of minestrone recipes to choose from...hope it helps

Hi there. Welcome aboard! Have a look at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=56929 - if you scroll down you'll come to the link for general and slow-cooker recipies. There are some really good ones. If you've already been through them already you can try http://www.about.com/food which has a range of good recipies too.

    Hope they're helpful.

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!

A good cookbook is 'The Essential Student Cookbook' by Cas Clarke, there are loads of cheapo recipes in there.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Delia has a great recipe for minestrone which I use a lot.

    http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/minestrone-with-macaroni,1126,RC.html

You can play around with the ingredients according to what you have.
The recipe on Delia's website uses ham stock but in her Complete Cookery Course she uses chicken stock and that is what I always use.
