Recommend a tall car.
Hi
I am looking to replace my old Mercedes A-Class with something else.
Budget: £2000
Needs to be tall like the A-Class. I'm moving heavy equipment and the generous rear headroom is very very useful
Ideally petrol automatic
Not too long (as in easy to park in some parts of London)
Needs to be reliable
Circa 8k miles per year.
I am looking at possibly a Vauxhall Meriva, something like that...
Any other directions to look in?

Have a look what orthodox Jews are driving around north London these days, it used to be Volvos so that they could drive with their hat on.
I'd guess it's all MPVs and Chelsea tractors these days though.
Whatever it is, it'll have a lot of headroomChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -

I was thinking the Note too, but looking at about £3k for something you'd want to own.
There's always one of these

It was Volvos because they were one of the few prestige car manufacturers that could not trace their roots back in some way to involvement with Germany in WW2.Have a look what orthodox Jews are driving around north London these days, it used to be Volvos so that they could drive with their hat on.

Get rid of BMW, Mecedes, Audi and VW, and what are you left with? Volvos. Nothing to do with hats.0 -
With its magic seats, the honda jazz is surprisingly tall inside. Its the only car we've owned which allows all the dogs to sit fully upright.0
