Premier Inn price hikes after 2nd March

Premier Inn have very good room offers in their winter sale up to 2nd March.
However, the company seems to have made up for this in the last few days, by quietly hiking prices after that date.
Most of the cheaper 'Saver' rates have disappeared, whilst those that remain are only £5 or less, cheaper than the full flexible rate. The net result is that an after-2nd March room which cost £40 or so last week, is £60 or so this week, a rise of about 50%.
I have queried with the company whether this is to be a permanent feature, but no reply so far.
All this means that there is a big division of prices, before and after 2nd March. Therefore:
- if you have any choice about your travel dates, you might want to go before 2nd March and book sooner rather than later,
- if you have to travel after 2nd March, consider staying elsewhere.
