PPI Claim bank fo Cahoot Loan back in 2000

Dear Martin or anyone who else can help...

I had a loan with Cahoot back in 2000 and I can't find or remember any of the account details. This was all saved on a old Hotmail account which is no longer used and deleted.

I have tried to re-open the account with Hotmail but they tell me the data stored would have been deleted.

I have contacted Santander, who tell me because the loan was back in 2000 they wouldn't have any records...

Is this true or are they just brushing this aside... ?

Any assistance or guidance would be extremely appreciated.

    It can be true. many only hold records for 6 years after debt is repaid. Some hold longer. Some shorter. If you dont believe them then you can spend £10 and do a data subject access request. If that comes back with nothing then you know they were right.
