Anyone know where I can get some in the UK??
Basically I want M6 tee nuts without the prongs.
I've seen some on the internet images but they don't seem to be available in the UK??
Maybe they are called something else??
I've searched ebay etc.
I've seen some on the internet with dimples on the edge and I've also seen some with holes for pins.
I could buy pronged ones and either flatten or cut them off but as I have quite a few to do getting plain ones would help greatly.
thanks.

I've tried posting some links but it won't let me as I am a new user.
Nothing I've seen so far suggestion wise is correct however "dig for victory" is the closest but not what I want.
If you do a search for tee nuts on ebay or the web you will get what I want BUT they will have prongs for hammering in to wood to stop the nut from turning.
I want the same thing but without the prongs. If you look at the pronged versions basically they are just a threaded tube with a washer on the end from which prongs have been punched.
If you can imagine the prongs flattened back to make it round then that is the version I'm looking for.
Some have 3 holes around the edge for screws and some just have small dimples for grip. I've also seen some with 2 straight edges.
I just can't seem to find them in the UK.
I've seen them described as "round base tee nuts" and "prongless tee nuts"??0 -

OK we're getting close!!
Round base weld nuts are almost there. The problem now is the size as these are mainly heavier duty than I require.
I need m6 and the flange about 17/18mm.
Apart from the prongs Tee nuts are perfect.
The other good thing about tee nuts is that they are cheap lol0 -

Give us clue who is close or we will be here till eternity giving examples.....What do you need it for specifically , then you may get some alternatives that will surfice..Diable posted some examples which were 3/4" diameter which is around 20mm....
Why don't you just trim the prongs off?.0 -
As I just posted?? Round base weld nuts M6 thread with the flange around 17/18mm.
The ones on the link are either in the US or the other link are too large.
If you read my original post you will see I said I have a few to do so removing or bending back the prongs, although possible, will be quite arduous as I have 50-100 to do!!
I want to weld them in as tube inserts. I need the flange as the tube is 18mm od and 14mm id. The flange can't be any larger than the od of the tube.I did consider flanged nuts but the M6 size flange is too small to fit the 14mm id
There doesn't seem to be a supply of the size I require in the UK??0 -
