Santander stopping paper statements

I got a notice with my statement today from Santander that last month I was made aware they will no longer send paper statements. Instead they will send an email when statement ready to view. I don't recall this. Can still opt back to paper if I want though so it says. My settings are still on for paper for all accounts when I look now.

Didn't you get last month the instruction on how to continue with paper statements?
You had to log into a specially set-up site (something like 'santander/paperstatements'), you were asked for your account number (or maybe debit card number), answered a few basic security questions, then you got the message that paper statements would continue.
I did that last month. I'll see next month if it worked.

I didn't get any notice

What type of account is this for?
Was it printed on the statement or a separate flyer?0 -

This was for a 123 account and came with last month's statement on a separate flyer.
I didn't keep the flyer after I had opted for paper statements to continue, so I'm not sure about the actual address you had to log-in. You might want to phone and ask Santander to tell you how to precede.0 -

on a flyer. I just went to that address and got The deadline for responding has passed. Strange then how my settings for e-documents still show paper statements.
It came with my 123 account statement, but it noted the change would affect current and savings accounts.anotheruser wrote: »I didn't get any notice

it is a trial of 100,000 customers across the UK that regularly use Internet Banking to turn off statements. As stated, if you are part of the trial group you will have received instructions on how to opt back in to paper statements.
Initially there was an error with the leaflets that were sent out, and they were sent to customers who don't even use IB. This was retracted and the correct sample/leaflets were posted start of October. This is not for all customers and is only to test the feasibility of removing paper statements when you receive them in pdf via IB.0 -
