Money paid by Bacs into your account is paid when your bank updates there systems it doesnt mater what it is benefits or salary its down to the bank.
  • Richard is quite right, the time it arrives on the account will vary from bank to bank. I used to work for NatWest and the accounts were updated between 2am and 4am, occasionally these hours were extended due to software upgrades but everything would be completed by 6am at latest.

Should someone who claims ESA really be out at midnight withdrawing money?
