Whats best for credit rating?

Hi.

We have a few credit cards with varying amounts on them that have now mostly come to the end of the 0% period, or are due to soon. So what looks best for credit scoring purposes: Keeping cards as they are and paying them off over the next year or taking out a loan to cover them all and just having the 1 borrowing vehicle in place?

Reason for asking is mortgage company have offered a mortgage but only allowing up to 65% LTV, we assume due to credit cards and other mortgage.

Thanks
S

I would say the other mortgage might be the issue.

Will this other mortgage be redeemed on getting the new one?
    Whats the income?
what are the debits (split out for each agreement)?
what mortgage do you need and what deposit do you have?

This might be best in the mortgage board, understanding the reason why you have been offered 65% mortgage is the key for making the decision about what to do in the future.
