Two topics here.
Groupon:
Always check the product on " offer" with Google or other website, eg Amazon. Today there is a special offer on Canon lenses.
The 70-300 is USM lens is listed at £279. However the same brand new lens is selling on Ebay for £235! I am not disputing that the Groupon one is cheaper than the list price, but can it be bought at a better price elsewhere.
Insurance:
I am sure like me you have been a loyal customer to your insurance company. Do not!
Every renewal date, about a week before ask for a reduction. I was with LV for over 8 years. I forgot to renew my buildings insurance, so asked how much for both. £700!!!!!!!.
I managed to save £300 with another company. When I rang LV back stating non-renewal they said I should have asked for their new policy!!!!! Which would be cheaper. I am now not renewing both my cars with them. Always compare!
I also saved a staggering £180 with Homeserve!!!! ( boiler/ leaks / electrics etc cover).
Do a bit of homework check what other companies are offering before ringing up especially if you are getting good service apart...... From the price.
