  • I quite like peppa pig :o but I do have an irrational hatred of postman pat sds, with incompetence like that, it's no wonder royal mail is in trouble!

My 7 mth old loves baby wipe packets and my 2 year old is currently sleeping with a dressing gown belt he has decided is the snake from the gruffalo!
  • DS has just turned 3 and he is obsessed with plug sockets. DH gave him an extension lead with the fuse taken out to play with and he just loves playing plugging stuff into it. He also likes to play with the hoover (bet that won't last!) and there's a ball of string knocking about that he has been playing with loads over the last few weeks. Despite the fact that he had about a million new 'proper' toys for his birthday last week!
  • My 7 month old LOVES baby wipe packets and sliding under a chair?!

Also, that spring thing on the skirting board to stop the door bashing the wall :rotfl:

My niece takes far more interest in my sisters possessions than the mass of wonderful toys, games and books she has. Lately she has taken a liking to scissors, and whilst playing at being a hairdresser, decided to cut off her fringe and chopped away at the back of her hair too for good measure. Scissors are now stored out of reach.

As are the replacements of my sisters very expensive foundation and make up brushes, after same niece decided to pour the previous bottle down the toilet and use the brushes to stir it all up. Her explanation of 'mummy I was trying to make cement' went down like a lead balloon and had my sister looking like

I am glad to have sons who love their own stuff and leave mine alone :D
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

If Peppa Pig is sexist then it's sexist towards the men - because Daddy Pig is portrayed as a moron. This is the same with all cartoon dads from Fred Flintstone to Homer Simpson and Richard Watterson.

Mine are now 9 & 11 and they and their friends can often be found playing with the buttons from the button jar. Mind you, when I'm sitting on the floor with them, I can't help but revert to playing with them :o.

Mine used to make a tent under the airer full with clothes on wet days and on dry days said airer was a tent out in the garden with a sheet over it.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Mine go under the dining table for a den, pull cushions off the sofa to make obstacle courses and make walls and "gates" out of various things and I have to ask permission or ring imaginary doorbells to get past...

DD has lots of dolls but likes to carry her tiny baby (so tiny it can't be seen ;)) and sits it on my knee. Then tells me off for dropping it when I stand up :rotfl:

My 1.5 year old loves pulling all the cushions off the sofa and plays with them on and off for hours. He's also a fan of walking around with the draught excluder too as that's just a bigger fancy cushion. :rotfl:

Mine uses toilet rolls etc for binoculars.

but mostly he pretends to be different animals. His usual one is being a puppy where he will bring me things in his mouth while crawling on the floor and then I have to pat him on the head and say good puppy.

He still loves plastic containers and bowls. Putting things in and out of the bowls and also lids on and off them. He likes to pack his own 'lunch' with play fruit in them.

    He is 22mths.
