Is it a scam?

Hi

I have just received a telephone call from a company calling themselves 'TMF' calling from and 0131 phone number telling me I had a loan a few years ago and wanted to put me through to a three way telephone conversation with one of their financial advisors, this was taking a long time to connect and I was on the phone for around 20 minutes then suddenly the phone just went dead!

I this a scam of some sort, has anyone received a call like this?

Many thanks

The first logical question to ask yourself is, do you have this loan?

Financial advisers are not allowed to cold call. So, they wont be financial advisers. However, there are a number of scams taking place at present where people pretend to be.

Do you have any idea how many people come on here and ask the same thing, day after day.

Next time someone rings like this, just say, 'just a moment' put the phone to one side and forget it. Drive's them mad.....
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
