l bought a printer from argos last week which is faulty, when l return it am l intitled to my money back or do l have to accept a credit note

I think that translates to yes, you should take it back.

Sure, but if the fault is that the printer heads need a full alignment/clean before first use, then rather than taking it back, I'd actually try that to see if it "fixed" the perceived "problem"1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

It might do as well in a consumer rights or techie board, but most marriages, families & relationships have someone whose job it is to 'fix stuff'...0
