I've got this really aggressive buyer, who has bought an item I paid £1000 3 years ago for £55.
First of buys, pays by paypal within a couple of days. I send by DHL day after payment received. Couple of days letter email from ebay details requested and I get a call from him that night. "When am I going to send it"?
So I get concerned, tell him it was sent by DHL, I will track it the next morning and get back to him. Then he asks me where did I send it, I respond to the ebay address, oh that's no good, that's my girlfriends dad, he wont give me it. I'm sorry there is nothing I can do. I have to send items to the registered ebay address. OK says he no worries I'll sort it out. I'll kick his teeth down his throat if he won't give it me. Whatever says I. Anyway next day I have positive feedback from him.
Today I have a paypal dispute. Item significantly different to that advertised. His number is on the dispute so I give him a call. It's a sat nav system and he says there is no disc in there. Anyway he starts shouting and I put the phone down.
He has tried to contact me by email, and I haven't received it in my inbox, but when I've logged in it's there in my ebay messages. I've responded to that and to the dispute, saying I will send a copy of the disk.
I'm concerned that paypal will give him his money back anyway. Is there anything I can do to stop it?
Having read that this happens. I always withdraw from paypal straight away so they have me at -£60 while it is under dispute.

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

By responding to the dispute with your solution, you've done what you can.
Paypal shouldn't refund him unless they have told him to return it to you and he can prove you've received it.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
If the buyer knew that his girlfriends dad wouldn't give it him, why have the address on ebay
If the paypal address was the same as the ebay address and unless you recieved a different address through the paypal checkout then you would not be covered by the paypal protection.
From the correspondance so far the bloke sounds really classy,
my guess is that girlfriends dad didn't give it him and if you asked him to return the product you are unlikely to recieve itDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
If its item not as described Paypal won't refund until he has returned the item to you.
He should use a trackable means, just be careful of the empty recorded delivery envelope as mentioned in another thread recently.0
