Gas meter age before replaced?

Hi, anyone know how old indoor gas and electricity meters need to be before they are past it. Also do they have to be changed free of charge from supplier?

Typically 10 years, but many are much older. Yes, the change is FOC (not by the supplier, but by the meter owner, which may or may not be the same as your DNO).No free lunch, and no free laptop
