Lowells scum recorded 2 defaults

saw a change in my Experian report today, it dropped from good to poor, because the Lowells bags reported 2 defaults for the same debt..One in the name of the original creditor, marked satisfied and a new entry under their name, marked unsettled
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought it was only 1 entry per debt

Yes it should only be 1 entry per debt.
You would need to write to both Lowell and the original creditor to insist that one of them removes their entry in accordance with the ICO guidelines on filing default notices.
Lowell should not put an entry on in their name unless the original creditor first removes their entry.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I actually said to them I was willing to negotiate, and then they placed a default on my clean Experian file!!! well it is due to drop off in 6 months (will be 6 years), so I will just wait out the d-bags0 -
I have gone through the same thing with the bank. Write an official letter to them ( recorded delivery)and demand removal of duplicate entry. They are not allowed to do it - illegal!. Give them 14 days to respond. If they still say no report them Ombudsman. Also contact all 3 credit reference agencies and inform them of the situation and that the default from Lowell is under dispute.
Good luck.0 -

No need to bother HSBC, the original creditors..this is all Lowells doing, it stinks of them...will send a legal threat and report them to the Ombudsman0 -
Does the original default now say the debt has been assigned? If so, then I think its OK to have both on there?Still rolling rolling rolling......

yeah it does actually..but my score has plummetted as if there are 2...oh well scores are worthless anyway0 -
Entry marked as debt assigned to cais member can't be seen by anyone by you if you believe Experian. It's a new marker they have brought in this year. So 2 entries are only seen as 1.Still rolling rolling rolling......

I have the same problem with them on my current file, spotted it yesterday. However both for the same account and are due to drop off in December so I am not chasing them up, as they previously ignored my letters!0
