Credit application fraud

I'm 18 years old and when I was just the age of 15 I had become victim of fraud, I first found out she I received a letter from little woods telling me that my application had been approved and they'd given me a £750 limit,
To date I have received around 53 letters from lenders regarding credit applications that id apparently made,
The fraud continued up until I turned 18,
I even received a letter from wonga.com telling me that i owed them £87.33, however i since contacted wonga and they wrote off the balance and removed all wonga enquirys from my credit file
I decided to get a copy of my experian credit report and was horrified by what I saw. My date of birth showed as 1992 instead of my real birth date witch is 1995, there were 7 settled accounts recorded and 43 credit searches.
What should I do? My credit is ruined?

Well if it is showing a different DOB, wouldn't that make it a completely different person? are the addresses correct?0 -
Is the address(es) on your credit file your actual address? Is the DOB correct for the day and month with just the year changed?
This could by identity fraud, or there is a possibility it relates to someone with the same name but not you (especially as there are some settled accounts).
Are you aware of anyone who may have committed this fraud against you? family members would be the most likely people in this situation, assuming the address used on the accounts was your correct address.
This link http://www.ico.org.uk/for_the_public/topic_specific_guides/identity_theft
should give you some places to look for advice.
I'd contact each of the 3 credit reference agencies to start and they should be able to offer some advice.
You will probably need to write to each of the creditors on your credit file explaining the situation. They will likely then all investigate the account and how it was opened.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
What you can do immediately is to consider Free ID Protection or CIFAS Protective Registration.
Compare them both. Keep in Mind.
One reaches ALL licensed financial service providers the other doesn't.
One costs next to nothing the other is £20 per year.
It's your decision.
Good luck0 -
Yes my name and addresses are all correct
And the accounts all show zero balances.
the day and month in my birth year are correct but the birth
year isn't, this is defiantly identity fraud.
I've contacted experian to dispute the entry's and will now contact the
other two CRA0 -
as its fraud, you also want to contact the police.
did you do so with the previous fraud you found out about ?0 -
Did you do anything about these letters when you were 15 and found out about it or is it a member of your family who had applied for accounts in your name. Have your parents not done anything about it.
It not, why not?
I get the feeling that we are not getting the full story to be honestmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
