martin are their any plans for bottled gas prices going down at the height of winter we are paying over £250 per month for 4 bottles and thats at £58 a bottle it seems to me that the companies can put up or down the price per bottle whenever they feel like it we was paying £68 per bottle before summer then they put it down to the present price for the summer and as you know like we all know that as the winter comes we are bound to have it up yet again to £68 or more !! we are not allowed to buy in bulk because of the correct storage rules so we are a bit stuck any advice would be of help we are a village held to ransom by the oil and bottled gas companies thanks

Im afraid LPG and oil companied anwser no nobody, they can do whatever they like!
Only alternative i could suggest is to swap your heating stsyem over to a heat pump, but at a minimum cost of 6-7K their not a cheap investment

I'm in lpg land aswell. Woodburners are generally the solution if you can get one installed. I use about 130 quids worth of wood for the normal winter months, if I was running the lpg it would be costing me that for a week!
