Hubby wasn't working in July so daughter got free meals at schoo.he stared work in August.
Daughter had hot meal last week after I put credit on her nccount.
Today I noticed I hadn't been charged.
We get both types of tax credit but don't earn over 16k.
Should we still get them or not?thanks

working tax credits should stop your entitlement to free school meals.
have the education authority/school been made aware that your husband is now working and claiming wtc?0 -
you need to let the school know there has been a change in circumstances.0

It says if you earn less than 16 thousand you can still get them even if you are on both types of tax creditADVISE-"I advise you get help"

I think it says if you get Working Tax Credits you can't get free school meals, even if you earn less than 16 thousand. This is because the working Tax Credits take into consideration all your income and is supposed to be enough to pay for the meals.0 -

Not necessarily. It depends on what part of the UK the OP is in as the rules are different for each part.
