Hello to any of you already with Direct Line. My husband's car insurance is up for renewal shortly so I had a look around online but no-one beat Direct Line's renewal quote. However, out of curiousity I got a new quote from Direct Line online and it was cheaper! This is due to the online discount, and what is even better is that if you set it up as a new policy instead of renewing they currently have an offer where you get 0% interest on paying it monthly.

try swiftcover.......... https://www.swiftcover.com
they are underwritten by axa insurance...
i am moving all my policies away from direct line as total crooks.
1) took out home/buildings/personal possesions six months into the policy got an endorsement in for my rolex ( was specified paying extra £200 a year for it)
exclusion -ONLY COVERED WHEN ON WRIST...
so i need to have an accident or get mugged for it to be covered
2) a friend insured his merc ml 2 years ago over the phone it got nicked one month ago and they have rejected claim because no tracker fitted ..
this was not a request when buying ... Do you think a millionaire would not pay £300 for a tracker.
Having prev been a claims handler for 5 years direct line are famous for the sneaky endorsements after policy taken out....I look because being in industry . most people bin there mail

We've just renewed online with direct line and saved £100 on the original renewal quote we got through the post. So all in all very happy.
Looked at swiftcover but too many horror stories.
Guess it's what you're comfortable with as everyone has a story to tell about their experience with the company they choose.
We've saved £300 this year between my insurance, my husbands insurance and our breakdown cover.
All because of this site. :T
Just feel sorry for the eejits who don't look around and just accept their renewal quotes.
