Packing liquids

I am wondering where I stand with this:
if I buy lucozade and pack it in my luggage, would this be ok to take to the US (leaving from the UK)?
and if it were ok, then what is the best way to pack it to avoid any leaks etc...?

anyone can confirm or deny if it is ok to pack such items in the luggage?0

I don't know why you'd want to take lucozade, it'll loose it's fizz, but as long as you declare it you should be fine.0

Yes, you are allowed to take liquids in checked luggage, when you fill in the customs form before you land you will have to declare it, which will most likely lead to you being singled out for a bag search.
But why would you want to?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
The risk of it leaking in transit would make me think twice. You can buy fizzy drinks in the US, why bother?
The other option is to buy it airside and take it on the plane with you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Although it's not very common, Lucozade is available in the US so with a bit of searching you may well find it.
If you are going to a touristy place such as Orlando, you can get it in the British foods sections of some of the stores.
Failing that, there is always Amazon:
