Internal or external transfer ?

My main question is...can anyone shed any light on whether the Santander 123 minimum £500 funding requirement has to be an external transfer in or can be an internal transfer (for example from a Santander savings account)


Does anyone know if the £750 Halifax Reward current account funding requirement has to be internal or external ?

And also the £1000 Nationwide FlexDirect current account funding requirement has to be internal or external ?

Fund the account with £500 a month (a minimum balance of £1,000 is required to receive interest). This is not a calendar month, it is the month from the date you opened your account. Interest and transfers from any other Santander accounts do not count towards the monthly funding amount.

The same for NW.
Don't know about Halifax, but I am pretty sure it's the same too.

For Halifax, internal transfers are fine.

For this reason, it's probably best to have your salary paid into either Nationwide or Santander (therefore fulfilling the external requirement) before transferring on elsewhere.
