By the way this article suggests that dividends are not excessive

Maybe we're just running out of gas and nobody wants to face it?0 -
It's Ed Milliband there's only twelve people in the country that still believe his promises

Twelve???
Why do you believe the coalition when they tell you the utility companies aren't making excessive profits? Prices have been rising at around 9% almost annually for the past five years, adding £300 to the average bill over the course of this parliament, while multibillion-pound profits made by the utility companies have soared by more 70% in that time.....
Consumer group Which? believes consumers have paid almost £4bn too much since 2010.
but that's OK???0 -
            VOTE FOR ME, PLEEEEEAAAAASE. Geez.
Nice of Ed to guarantee a pre-election price increase for us all.
(I'd have added "and another increase in 2017", but there's surely no chance people will vote this clown in??).0 -
            This doesn't make sense.
Let's say if the tariff is cap tomorrow, what will you do? Switch to the cheapest company ASAP as it cap for 20 months. This would probably cause 50% of people switching and overload the company provide cheapest tariff!
IMO, they should set up policy to cap the profit margin, not tariff. Let's say target margin of 5%; anything over 5%, 50% of the profit give back to government. Anything over 8%, 75% profit give back.0 -

Yup it will force David Cameron to take his own action against rising bills or appear to back the energy companies against consumers.
(...however, if we actually are running out of the means to produce energy as is claimed that is not necessarily a good thing..)0 -

Hardly a surprise though, is it, given the cuts etc made over the last three years.
A lot of people have said they will vote Ukip. Will they on election day though? I don't think they will.
Even if people are unhappy with the coalition, I don't think enough will vote Labour - and Ed (and t'other Ed) is the reason why.0 -

Ukip have died in the polls in recent months.Even if people are unhappy with the coalition, I don't think enough will vote Labour - and Ed (and t'other Ed) is the reason why.
The polls say that the Labour party are in the lead, so people are saying they will vote Labour, even if the don't like the two Eds, they like the alternative less....
We'll see what the polls bring at the weekend. I think the Labour Party will get a big bounce upwards from this announcement...0 -

By the way, charities and consumer groups are warning that millions of households are facing fuel poverty, with a growing number forced to cut down or switch off their heating in the colder months, with potentially dangerous consequences....don't you care about that? It's not all about party politics is it?0
