DRO clean up - STUCK!

Hi all,
I completed the 12 month period of my DRO in March 2013 and have been trying to clear up my credit report with the help of these forums and the template letters etc. All seemed to be going well, and now I'm stuck.
I had a Halifax overdraft which is still showing as default, not satisfied, and is being logged every month as a missed payment. I'm of the understanding that the last default date on default should be the date I took out the DRO or prior to that.
I contacted Halifax via phone to talk about it before writing and getting the ICO involved and was told not only that they refuse to raise a formal complaint regarding this, but also that the debt has since been passed to a debt collection agency so I would need to contact them. I've never been informed of the debt changing hands and asked who the debt had been passed to so I could try to rectify this with them. Halifax didn't know and said they don't keep records of that sort of thing!
I contacted the ICO about 2 months ago, and although it's been raised to be looked into, nothing's happened yet.
I also have a default that's now marked as satisfied, but with the end date as March 2013 and not March 2012. I've written to the company and raised a complaint, but 6 weeks on, I've had little more than a 'we'll look in to it' letter.
Both of these have been on-going battles since March 2013. I've tried literally every avenue and now I just feel nothings happening.
Is there more I can do get this moving quicker? I'm paying the experian £15 a month so I can keep an eye on when things are changing, but I'd like to not have to do this.
Any help very much appreciated! Thanks!

No point talking to Halifax on the phone. None of the staff you will get through to by doing that have the faintest clue, and will do their best to obstruct you.
Write to Halifax telling them to correct the info, otherwise you will progress your complaint with the ICO, and in addition will take the matter to the Financial Ombudsman (FOS) whether they like it or not. Take it to the FOS if it has been more than 8 weeks since your original complaint. FOS may get you movement quicker that the ICO, costs Halifax £550 for the complaint, and the can order Halifax to sort things, so always best to complain via both the FOS and ICO.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

You can also ask Experian to dispute the entries for you. Our online form is probably the easiest way to do this:

Thank you very much James. I didn't know Experian could help in that way! Definitely worth the money each month! I shall be sending it over now, thank you for the link.
