can anyone help?

You need to have cookies enabled, don't you? (tools, options, privacy) If you don't want to alter your Firefox why not use IE just for quidco0

This page - http://www.quidco.com/help/78/ ?using firefox, but i can't follow instructions on quidco's website for using firefox as firefox has changed (newer version) and the options that quidco ask you to tick or not tick in the settings are not there anymore
Just tick 'Allow cookies'. The fact that 'For originating site only' isn't there doesn't matter. Also check settings for ad and cookie blocking, e.g. SpywareBlaster - described on the help.0 -
The latest firefox has a slightly different layout that is actually easier to use, I think the OP is confused because his firefox isn't like the quidco instructions
All he needs to do is click on tools - properties - privacy tab and the options to enable cookies is right there0 -
yep thats right - basically confused by change in layout (i am always easily confused when it comes to computers:rolleyes: )
allowed cookies - done a transaction...just waiting to see if it tracks...how long should it take? - tranaction with viking direct0 -
I haven't ordered from Viking but Quidco tells you how long it should take. O days - so it should be pretty fast0
-
This probably a silly question.... but if on Firefox I go to view cookes->remove all cookies.... will this remove the cookies placed by quidco for transactions I've already placed, and mean they cant be tracked???
Quidco suggest to clear cookies before each transaction, but I'm a bit worried in case I delete ones I need for quidco!0 -
Log into your Quidco account and click Earnings - Transactions and it tells you the status of the transaction - http://www.quidco.com/help/8/.
Transaction tracking is usually immediate so you can safely clear cookies. Just ensure that cookies are enabled before the transaction.0 -

Err, surely not? The tracking statistics from some merchants say things like 3 day average. Thats not immediate0 -
Well I said 'usually', however you're probably more correct than me. The Quidco help is a bit misleading - I think it means clear cookies the first time you ever buy through Quidco. After that, it's safe to clear cookies as long as there are no untracked transactions.marvellousaunt wrote: »Err, surely not? Ok, I understand. Ta. I think I'm just going to not assume that any of the cashback is guaranteed so only take up offers where I'm not losing money, else if your relying on cashback to make a profit you're in the ... poo. I'm too worried about clearing cookies, I've had most things track fine ok so I'm just going to leave it......0
