Hi all,
I'm on ntl but because they don't have broadband in my area I am thinking of switching over to BT and signing up with UKOnline.
But BT phone calls are still quite expensive. So I want to sign up to https://www.18866.co.uk who charge only 2p connection and free calls to UK local and national calls.
But from my research on BT so far, am I correct in thinking that I MUST choose one of the BT call packages which includes certain amount of phone calls?? E.g BT Together etc for £10 a month.
I don't want to have to sign up to a BT pack - as I would rather just have the line and then make all calls through 18866.
So do I HAVE to choose a BT package? Can't I just have the line alone as I do with ntl?
Thanks !
L

As far as I know BT abolished the line rental only package, which means you'd have to subscribe to one of their BT Together plans, with cheapest option being plan 1 at £10.50 a month.0

Still, if you're after the LLU operator - have you checked your exchange? Provided it's unbundled, you might have some alternatives.0

Yes you defo have to take their cheapest call plan, option 1, even if you just want the line rental. Sucks, but thats what we have to do too0
