RBS PPI claim

I sent a complaints form to RBS re PPI on a Sainsburys credit card.

They sent an acknowledgement and said they would look into it and get back to me.

This was over 8 weeks ago so could someone tell me what I should do next.

  • Phone RBS up and ask them if they have come to a decision and if not you are within your rights to take straight to the FOS but you will be in for a long wait, I had a claim with RBS last year and they took about 9 weeks to sort out so maybe ring them ask where they are with your complaint and take it from there.
  • Thanks for that. Will phone them tomorrow.
  • Just give them a call on 0800 015 0319. I have found them really quite helpful and polite so far. They registered my complaint on the 22nd of August, and I got a text on the 23rd to acknowledge receipt, and a follow up letter. I phoned for an update last week and was told I would have a final decision by 10 October.

    Good luck
