Carers and Housing Benefit

I am on the high component of DLA for both care & mobility (for which I have a car). Up to 2011, my eldest son was my carer, but at this point he left home to start his own family. During the time he was my carer his income details were recorded but not taken into account with regard to the housing benefit as I was on high DLA. Since that time my youngest son (aged 20 in 2011) became my carer but was not earning due to attending a local University. He is still attending University in his final year, but has acquired a weekend job on a farm trail. What I am asking is, does anyone know if this rule still applies, in that a carers income is not taken into consideration when the person they are caring for receives high rate DLA? Just for clarification my youngest son is living with me. I know his wage is only very little, but I am thinking of the future.
