Apartment got robbed! Need DIY alarm or whatever system to protect me

My apartment got robbed a week ago. The door was double locked and the windows are slightly opened for ventilation. I was awake until 1 am. I was so tired from work so I put my bag 2 meters away from the windows. The bag has huge money on it.

The culprit didn't make it inside my apartment but he/she used a long stick to get my bag. I can say it's that way because my doors are still locked the morning I wake up only the windows are full opened and a long stick outside.

I felt awful. No CCTV to find out who the culprit is.

How come it had Huge money in it when only a couple ofweeks ago you were struggling to pay a small loan. And asking or advice on getting another one.

How much is huge money, did you call the police, claim on your household contents insurance.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

You probably dont need to get a system to protect you other than make sure windows are secure....

an alarm may not have prevented this type of robbery as the room sensors might not have picked up on something being poked through a window..

It sounds as if you live on the ground floor flat....so make sure your windows are closed....and never leave anything near an open window in such a manner that it can be removed
