The above is true. I've had a main dealer make a right bollox of a routine service. They had the cheek to send me a reminder this year.
  • I've used a Citroen/Peugeot specialist in the past and ended up at the main dealers as the 'specialist' had no idea what they were doing.
They may have been alright with a 2CV but a HDI engine dumb founded them.

That's why I suggested joining a specialist forum, nothing better than listening to others advice about specific indies where other members can name and shame.

Thanks again. Said vehicle is now U/S now anyway (cambelt was supposedly changed by the garage while they were 'fixing' the other issue (changed at our request and expense but through s/h dealers preferred garage as ours would touch it untill remedial work had been done, so it made sense for them to change it while they were under the bonnet) but appears to have 'gone' suspect tensioners weren't changed or done up correctly with a torque wrench.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • if the car is in warranty go to dealer, outside of warranty go to indy.
