First time ever I have had my direct debit reduced. I gave up putting in my meter readings which used to work well with Scottish Power but with EDF resulted in them putting up my direct debit.
But this year EDF have just read the meter and despite saying my yearly review was due in March have put it down to £89 from £106. Of course this may be a ploy as i expect I may be in debt to them in March !
We shall see....

Yes they did the same to me earlier this year, reducing from £59 to £42 for gas.
However I keep a weekly check on my usage and from the annual usage worked out my DD to be £56.
So I rang them and told them to put it back up to £59 which they did, but from the surprise in their voice I guess I was the first person to request an increase in the DD.:rotfl:0 -
As you've put the DD back up, it means you're in credit buying more cheap gas than you're using, so when it inevitably goes up you're well in credit to buy less gas at the higher price. I know somebody
that would inflate their self meter-reading figure just before the price went up. 0
