    Morning all,

Looks to be another cracking day here I love these late summer days. Got a load in the wm and another 2 to follow, I also have the duvet from the bottom of dd's bed (we sleep with an old one under the bottom sheet) to try and wash, I am going to try and get it in my machine and then hang it on the line to save taking it to the laundrette, although its a double so might not be able to squeeze it in !

Day off today so will have a good clean through the house this morning, then I need to nip to the shop as Mr T did not deliver my chicken for dinner, I also need to see my dad at lunchtime and do an online shop, and if I have time later I will do a bit more painting.

Hester I never knew that about furniture polish on window sills I always give then a quick polish with it, will avoid it in future, take it easy x

Molly how is your dd getting on ? xx

Roast chook and all the trimmings tonight.

    Have good days all xx

Fish fed, hubby fed & dropped at work, foggy here today and it seems to be getting thicker.
I have to see the Dr again tomorrow, need to go back to work, but only part time to start with. I need to make a cake for the Macmillan cake sale and I may make some marmalade too.
Molly, my DD went to residential college when she was 16, I had a few midnight calls, I used to send her a picture post card 2 or 3 times a week she really loved receiving them
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Dumpling - Ooh have you got the reciepe for SC chicken curry ??
Hi, it's not a curry but I'll happily pass on the recipe, I think I nicked it from the flylady thread the other day :o

1 pack chicken thighs and drumsticks (half price in co-op at the mo)
    1 carton of passata
chinese 5 spice..amount not specified so I'm guessing a tsp or two
salt and a splash of vinegar
    2 tbs ketchup
1 chicken oxo and 100 ml water.
Chuck it all in the slowcooker on high for 3.5 hrs and then turn down to low for 4 hrs.

I shall report back tomorrow on it's success or otherwise :rotfl:.

    Morning everybody,
Feeling a bit tired this morning as we had a power cut just as we were about to go to bed so we were messing about finding torches so we could see in the bathroom etc. and turn off the light switches. It came back on after about half an hour and the security light came on and wouldnt go off so got up to switch that off, then the cycle repeated all over again, alarms, the answerphone message, bedside lamp but DH slept through that lot :D

Plans for the day more tidying/decluttering/cleaning for this open viewing day on Sunday.Did quite well yesterday and managed some sewing too for the Moses basket recover.DS2 & DiL2b called in the afternoon as she had to go to hospital for a check as her own midwife said baby was large for dates.Anyway everything was fine, they said the midwife measured wrong :D a bit of a relief for Dil2b.Then again she is quite a tall girl and DS is 6' 4 :rotfl:

Tea tonight prob breaded fish, easy when DGD is here.Back to the grindstone, have lovely days x

    Morning all
School run done, just feeding mrs milks while I type!
Going to baby group at village church this morning for first time.
Got loads of baking done yesterday so only bread to bake today.
Tea today will be butterflied leg of lamb stuffed with feta and sun blush tomatoes, potatoes boulangere and garlic green beans.

Starting to get my bottles and jars together for preserving time❤.
Making tomato ketchup this week as stocks running low.
Looking through books for a plan of what else I'm doing this year.
I had a cull of my cookbooks last week as I was getting close to 300.
Used Amazon trade in and made £120 in vouchers which will go towards Noah's PS3 for Xmas.
He has a Wii, PS1,PS2,iPad, DS, kindle .... Now wants PS3 for new game he is after!

I'm also sorting out the huge pile of recipes torn from magazines into lovely bright pink box files which will be tidier and in sections so easier to find what I want.
This afternoon will do my yoga then it's usual school run, homework, tea etc.
If I don't get yoga done this afternoon will do it with DH once we get some peace tonight.
    Have good days all x

I am planning on sending DD some too x

Ruby - well she lost her purse yesterday with all her cards in it. Totally her when she is stressed as her dyslexia makes it hard to process so all her old habits - of taking care of her purse - are lost. She rang me in tears and when she got back to her room I suggested places it could be and the purse was in one of her usual places for losing things. She does seem brighter this morning though so hoping she is settling.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • HM, lost a post.

It was foggy here this morning. Horrible on the school run, lots of cars without lights on & tailgating. I moved here so I wouldn't have to drive the school run. Unfortunately the youngest global delay means he can't walk far. The older 2 walk.

I need to go out when the fog lifts to get the local paper. The new class photos are in. Also need to get the dry cleaning.

I've got some chicken breast out of he freezer. Will make the kids & me a cooked dinner. Need to get potatoes though.

I am good at remembering what you all write, although I do read it all. Hope no one thinks I'm rude for not replying. Tomorrow I shall note stuff down & do it like that!

    Love, hugs & spoons
