New laptop - Vaio Fit E series?

Hi

I am looking to buy a new laptop and have been looking at the Sony Vaio Fit E. Does anyone have any thoughts / experience of these?

I am currently on a HP DV6, before that I had a Vaio VPCEB which I absolutely loved. I mainly use my laptop for documents, online research, youtube, catch up tv, etc. No gaming or massive storage needs.

How do the Vaio compare with other brands?

Comments

  • They tend to be reasonable devices, how much are you willing to spend? as this changes what brands i would recommend

Hi, £500-600, £600 max. I can't find any other comparable laptop for this price?

There are plenty of laptops from £400 up that will do the tasks you mention with ease. As will any modern laptop.
Nothing wrong with Vaio's, but you are paying extra for the brand.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Thank you both, wish I'd done more research, but I got a fit E14 this morning!! It's an i3 processor, the Lenovo i7 looks like more for your money. I loved my old vaio to bits so I thought would give it another go, 14inch is not as bulky as 15in too. Fingers crossed it lasts me a good few years.
