Glass repair.

i've got a glass cabinet where the back pieces of glass has cracked and could do with being repaired.
It's one of these

and as you can see, there's a plastic rim around the top which would make it difficult to get another piece cut and attach over the cracked pane - as the top is slightly narrower than the inside.
The crack goes from a third of the way down the right side to about 3inches from the bottom left so it's still structurally safe as it's attached on all sides...
I have a tube of aquarium silicone and not afraid to use it...
anybody suggest the best way to repair it..

It needs to be disassembled and the glass replaced.
If this is not possible then it can be re-inforced by applying a bead of your adhesive along both sides of the crack and then using clear parcel tape over that, also on both sides.
This will only be temporary and the crack will eventually make its way to both edges.0 -
Cheers. Although I should have held off asking as I sold it this evening.0
