Hi All,
My wife who is on mat leave was called last week to say there is a restructure at work. They are reducing the number of her roles by half and the job description is being changed by quite a bit. She has been told to go an review / interview centre on Thursday this week and if she is successful she will get one of the new roles.
The are a few problems:
- My wife dosen't like the sound of the new job description and doesn't want to do it. (will be away from home most of the time)
- She feels at a disadvantage if she were to go for an interview / assement as she has been out of the company for 7 months, and has been given very little time to prepare.
She has asked what would happen if she dosen't want the new role and basically been told she will get statutory redundancy and her outstanding statutory mat leave up front.
Is this all above aboard?
Thanks
