  • Manor Park, Hunstanton is a Park Resorts site. Not near a train station but if you get train to King's Lynn, bus picks up outside train station and goes direct to Hunstanton with a bus stop about 50 yards from the site entrance.
Searles, Hunstanton (independent AFAIK) is adjacent to Manor Park, bus stop is same distance from entrance but reception is a bit further to walk.

Cromer country Club? A short walk, taxi ride from Cromer station. Buses and trains from Norwich. The title is a bit grand to be honest, We stayed there many years ago and had a very pleasant stay. It's on the cliffs by the lighthouse, wooden steps down to beach (quite steep) short walk (5-10 mins) to town, pubs, restaurants, shops etc. Lovely sandy beach which is just far enough from town to be almost always fairly empty. if I remember rightly pool, gym and accom, was fine, bar was quite small. If you want a change of scene the train goes on to Sheringham or back to Norwich and the Coasthopper bus service is brilliant (best check it's not just seasonal though).

Shame on me, I misremembered. :embarasse
I'm travelling by rail/coach, how do I get to the Resort?
If you're travelling by train, the nearest main line station to Minehead is Taunton. A bus transfer service is operated by First Bus between Taunton station and Minehead (number 28). This service is available at an additional cost. For general information call First Bus on 0871 200 22 33.

If you are travelling by National Express, you will arrive at the Resort's main entrance - unless that particular service terminates at Taunton.

    Many apologies
  • ^ but you can travel on the preserved railway.

They did plan to run a shuttle from Taunton to Bishops Lidyard to Minehead but it didn't get permission in the end.

You beat me to it.....several within really easy walking distance -we were there at the end of August -the train also runs along the coast so you can visit other Devon resorts either by train or ferry cheaply and quickly.

It's a gorgeous part of the country -worth the extra travelling time.
