Debt that has never been acknowledged - need advice

I have had this debt since 2007. I owe over £2000 to different lenders. I have been in financial trouble for various reasons ever since 2007. Acknowledgement must be signed by you in writing for it to reset the 6 years clock for being sttatute barred. Phone calls do not count. Neither does the creditor writing to you. They can do that every day if they like, but has no effect whatsoever.
