CIFAS / National Hunter SAR

Hi all, would really appreciate some help.

I am looking for advice on how to write a SAR to national hunter and CIFAS to ensure I see all the information they have about me. I've read that for NH it can be like pulling teeth and you need to specify exactly what you want (all details from past applications, addresses, etc) or they can just send you virtually nothing? So I would really appreciate a good template letter for these 2 agencies if anyone has one - I couldn't see one searching the website.

That's because they don't hold any credit data as such. Just data from applications that you've submitted to other members when applying for financial products. The data is cross checked to every new application you make to detect inconsistencies.

Still haven't had problems with credit in the past & have always made my payments on time, but was recently turned down for an application and the only reason they would give me was fraud checks! So I want to see what info these people hold before I try to sort that out, or make any applications in future.

Anyway, if you (or anyone) could point me in the direction of a SAR template for CIFAS / National Hunter, I would really appreciate it. I've checked the website and have the documents they need, would just like to know what exactly to put in the letter to ensure I get all the info they hold.

oh but CIFAS say those markers are for your own protection...bullcrap...they are basically labelling you a fraudster without a criminal trial..end of

I got SAR results from National Hunter, Synectic Solutions and CIFAS, it made for extremely dull reading and wasn't worth the £30 spent.

All it contained was partial details from my application form and the status 'clear' meaning all was fine.

They will provide all they hold in your request, it may be less than you think, there not be any decision specific info on there.
