Theory Test booking site scam

I feel like a great big wally, my husband is learning to drive and I booked his theory test a few months ago and paid £56. I hadn't a clue what it should have cost. Unfortunately, he didn't pass so I booked it again yesterday and found that it was actually only £31! It looks like I wasn't concentrating and booked through a scam site that adds on costs making false claims such as free re-test, I didn't think of this, I just assumed stupidly that there was just one site to book through. Do you think I have any chance of getting a refund? I thought I was quite internet savvy, clearly not.....:o

  • You say they offered a free re-test. Are they now not doing this?
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

Is it really a scam? Most clearly state they are not the DVLA and that you can get the same for much less.

You paid for a service, You used the service. So what reason do you have for asking for a refund?

Can you link to the site, there are a few about but none that make any free retest claims that I know of.

They are not scam sites, they provide a service which books the theory test for you for a fee, but if you were promised a free retest why did you book it again for £31 when you could have tried to get it for free?
