BOS telling me to "sod" basically....

Anyone been told by their bank to "sod" off???
I have basically just been told that. Reasons - I manage my account too well. I deposit too much money into the account, I don't go into debt, I never used my approved overdraft, I don't borrow anything from the bank. On the other hand they have to pay me £5 pm as I have the Reward Current Account. They actually told me the main reason was, I was making too big a deposit into my account each month. The other reasons were strongly implied but not actually said in those specific words.

Your post needs a little more context.
What actually happened? Tell us what you were actually told not what you were basically told.0 -

How big is your income and how much do you deposit each month?
If there is a significant difference, the bank is obliged to do checks under Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime legislation. If the bank has doubts about your money matters and cannot come to the bottom of the issue, they are likely to close your account (as the bank does not want to get lumbered with a huge fine).0 -

What sort of sums are you putting through? I know chaps who bank with Lloyds/ BoS on exceptionally healthy salaries and they just keep getting encouraged to go the the Private Banking Premier account rather than close down their accounts.
Think there is more back story that the OP isnt sharing0
