What happens if you make an application for benefits and you forget to put in what benefits you are already getting?

We will run a CIS check on the DWP database - we will check your bank statements - failing that any undeclared benefits will be picked up by Data Matching.

It is generally your responsibility to do so.
Any overpayment resulting from them not checking will generally be repayable, unless you win an appeal on this.

Inform them as soon as possible.

Hi whambam, I second what Roberblack has said, inform them A.S.A.P. It is better that you inform them that you have forgotten to write on your form other benefits you are receiving rather than them phoning you or writing to you saying that they have discovered this.
