Excel Problem

Hi All,

I'm having problems linking a code in cell B2 of the current spreadsheet matching this to column A of spreadsheet "code" and thus returning the value in column D of the "code" spreadsheet. Below is the code I've used but it's not working - can anyone help?

=VLOOKUP(B2,'[code.xlsx]'!$A$2,4,FALSE)

Thanks

Your code is only looking in cell $A$2 for the VLOOKUP. Replace $A$2 with $A:$D and it should work.
  • Tried the following, now the symbols #N/A are appearing.

    =VLOOKUP(B2,'[Code.xlsx]Sheet1'!$A:$D,4,FALSE)
  • Got it sorted, the text in column B needed to be converted to number format.
