Assuming there is no better data output on it then you need a video capture card and software to go with it.
You can get something very basic like:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/USB-Video-Audio-Capture-Card/dp/B0011N9QNC
Or a branded version like:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hauppauge-USB-Live-composite-analogue/dp/B003Q2ZA36/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1379950770&sr=1-6
The red, white, yellow is a composite connection and you just need to ensure the video capture card you buy supports composite (almost all will as its the most basic connection type)0 -
Are they easy enough to use for someone with limited knowledge??
If i had a DVD recorder would this be an option??0 -
If you want it to end up on a physical DVD then it'd be easier with a DVD-R
With the software you will create a MP4/ AVI etc video on your computer first (just as easily as creating the DVD) but then must copy that from the computer to the DVD. Certainly not hard to do by any stretch of the imagination but it creates an extra step in the process0 -
I have just copied my old family 8mm camcorder tapes to DVD using a DVD re-recorder.
Plug the cables in and let the camcorder run, copying to the hard drive. Split out all the bits where I get lovely pictures of my shoes :-( then copy to a DVD-RW. I then used my laptop to do copies whilst loading the next one.
I was given the recorder, which was helpfull, but I have seen them for £10 to £15 from the tip shop.
Enjoy reliving the memories!0 -
