Hi everyone
I wanted to ask about sales role in working for either company readily advertising on the internet. It is a commission only role i understand attending customers property in your own car.
However i am in need of a job but just don't know if it is worthwhile?
I will have to pay for my own fuel and sales i hear from some forums explain that it is hard to keep up with local competition?
I wanted to find out if anyone has worked for either company, if so were they able to make a go of it?
Finally how does the commission work, is it per sale or is it when you hit a target of say 7 sales you make money?
Just need some advice on if i should pursue these jobs or if it will be a waste of money, in terms of fuel.
Thanks all

Did work for Anglian long time ago.
You can make a very good living but most fall by the wayside after a few months.
Could you convice someone to spend 3 times as much on a product that the local competition would charge?
Would you have the tenacity to just keep sitting there pitching away when the customer has already said no half a dozen times?
It is more about the individual than the job and is not for the thin skinned.0 -
Don't think that it is a easy job. Any company that is advertising's just commission as far as i am concerned will not be bothered about the staff. I would be weary!Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0

It all depends on how good you are at flogging stuff!0

True, but there are Anglian and Everest reps earning £100k plus because they are not in effect subsidising the low achievers. Dog eat dog though.
Hi
Just wanted to ask is the 100K quota realistic?
It sounds extraordinary High, that everyone is not doing this job, as There are many vacancies going?
But I do have a point to consider from previous forums, that you have to be a pushy salesman, if that means bludgeoning to death people, especially venerable elderly people.
is this the tactic employed by 100K earners if they are to keep on making sales?

If the company won't even pay your expenses they are unlikely to pay you £100k. I would steer clear.0

They do pay that sort of money, but based purely on results. You are in effect self employed. Some thrive on it, most don't.
Think about it.
10% commission on a £20,000 conservatory. Sell one a week = £100,000pa.0 -

Yes it is theoretically possible but I expect you wouldn't get anywhere near enough leads to generate that kind of commission. I'd bet on most of their sales people earning closer to £10k than £100k. And you only have to watch an episode or two of watchdog to know what kind of company you're dealing with0 -
