See express and star 11 april 2014: West Brom may lose millions in legal row; I;m not allowed to post a link0

I believe this case is before the courts in January.
Does anyone know the date?0 -
Lets hope the court sees sense and comes in favour of West Brom. If Landlords can't be bothered to read the terms and conditions it is not the lenders fault. Landlords have had 5 years at rock bottom rates all at the expense of us savers.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

brit1234 - Lets hope the court makes a judgement on the legal issues involved in the case. Not on ill-informed and in-accurate opinion masquerading as sense.
Also note that these borrowers have been paying inflated rates for 12 months and WB savers have had rate cuts over the same period.0 -
Agreed AGBAGB - and thanks for the info about the date.
I will be watching for the result and hoping for a win for those effected but best stop there before I incur the wrath of those with opposing views. The Bank of Ireland will no doubt be watching carefully too .......their rise seems even harsher to me as their criteria for defining landlords included people with just a consent to let on their only property.
I wonder will we get a judgement that day or need to wait months while the judge considers a ruling. It seems unlikely that he/she could hear the evidence and give an immediate decision but I know little about the workings of the court in these matters ......
Anyway may as well leave the debating on the rights and wrongs of it all till court time ........0 -
