Google Nexus products Nexus 4, 7, 10. will always have the latest version of Android, unlike the Tesco device.
This may or may not be a selling point. Jelly Bean 4.3 is on Nexus devices.

The Tesco tablet is reported as sluggish it should not be on any version of JB unless it has horse-meat added .

Last week I would have agreed with the above, this week with Samsung introducing region locking and possibly region locking updates to previously unlocked phones I am not so sure.
