Towel rack in the kitchen?

We are having a new kitchen fitted in 2 weeks and need to decide on the radiator. At the moment we have a double one which is 50cm x 70cm, but we end up turning it off because sometimes the kitchen is too hot (annoyingly it's also next to the fridge..).

So we are thinking about having a towel rack instead, as we use to dry tea towels in there anyway and maybe the heat would be enough.

Would it look very strange in the kitchen? Does anyone have one..?

We have a towel rail in our kitchen...and to be honest its good enough to dry the tea towels but thats about all,I'm not convinced we get a significant heat from it to heat the room as such.

We dont have a radiator in the kitchen as its not a huge room and I find that it does tend to warm from using the cooker etc
