Wrongfully withdrawn from course without consent due to "non attendance" rights?

I was a late starter due to finding a place on a course that still had a empty slot so started week 2, I applied for SAAS straight away and got a letter back 2 weeks later.
What I believe the issue is, is that as I was a late starter I was not on the system to log my attendance so they had me down as not attending.
As my loan was meant to be paid 2 weeks ago I have been phoning SAAS who say there is no problem but SLC say there is notes of my file.
Eventually the course leader got back to me today saying I have been withdrawn due to no attendance despite NO phone calls about this, no emails or letters
I want an apology and paid for the 4 weeks I attended as I was thinking of leaving anyway as the course was not that fun but was going to stay only as was worried about losing funding and also means I lost a years of study and must look bad with the establishment

Better to withdraw now than later... At this stage you have not lost a year of funding and so will be able to start a course that is right for you next year.0

You could look at courses starting in January- some universities have Jan start dates, depending what course you're interested in.
If you had wanted to stay on your current course I would have advised you to go in person to your student admin office- the administrators are normally v. helpful and can iron out any misunderstandings.0
